Welcome to my first power ranking ever!! I know what you are wondering. "Ryan" you ask, "What did you learn from your first Power Rankings ever?" Well, I learned that it takes way longer than I thought. Also, it's pretty fun to come up with a blurb about the best teams and then talk trash about the worst teams. Those middle teams however, are rough. Trudging thought the 15-25 pushed my love for writing about the NFL to the limits. The good news is I made it, so check out the ranking, join the conversation, and tell me how much you hate them.

Power Rankings: The Trainging Camp Edition
I know its early, but what can I say. I'm excited the NFL is coming back into the news cycle. It's time to brain dump from all the early offseason action and get the first edition of the Power Rankings out to the world. I know you have been waiting.

Los Angeles Rams
Steady
The Rams could have been the best team in the NFL last season, but failed to beat the Seahawks in their last 2 match ups. Then they added all-stars at corner and doubled down with Miles Garrett. If Stafford can stay healthy this team could very well be Super Bowl bound.

Seattle Seahawks
Steady
No 12, I'm not disrespecting you. R-E-L-A-X. Yes, you won the Super Bowl, but you did lose a lot of talent in the off-season and you are still ranked second. Relax.

Buffalo Bills
Steady
Forget Josh Allen, the Bills are returning their offensive line intact, which happened to be blocking for the league leader in rushing. If Cook can duplicate the 1600 yards and 5.2 ypc this will be a tough team to beat.

Denver Broncos

"Denver at #4?!?" you say. Yeah, this team almost made the Super Bowl without their starting QB. Watching that game last year they looked the better team in the AFC Championship game. They added a dynamic receiver in Waddle and look ready to take the AFC by storm this season.

San Francisco 49ers
Steady
The Niners won 12 games last season losing Bosa, Kittle, Warner, Purdy and others for significant amount of time last season. With all those guys back the Niners look to be a force once again.

Baltimore Ravens
Steady
The Ravens lost a significant amount of talent this offseason not to mention their HoF head coach. They still have Lamar, so Im still expecting big things.

Chicago Bears
Steady
Another year in Johnson's system for Williams will lead to even bigger things next year. I'm expecting them to repeat as the NFC North Champs and challenge for the top spot in the NFC.

Dallas Cowboys
Steady
Another year, another batch of Cowboy hype... BUT there might actually be something here this season. The offense returns intact and the Cowboys have loaded up on defense by trading for Rashan Gary, signing free agents Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark and Jalen Thompson. Don't sleep on the the defense this season.

New England Patriots
Steady
Got smoked in the Super Bowl and I'm expecting the same thing in week 1 when we have a SB rematch(Thanks for that NFL). Drake May looked way better than I thought he would last season and I expect him to keep improving with the addition of AJ Brown. That will keep you in the top 10.

Los Angeles Chargers
Steady
I'm high on the Chargers offense with the hire of McDaniel. The Chargers are also getting both starting offensive tackles back and I'm excited to see what the running game is going to look like. Plus, when does Harbaugh not field a winner?

Philadelphia Eagles

I think the Eagles are still a good team, but Im a little nervous here. More new coordinators, rumbling around Hurts not being a leader last season, a declining Oline, and AJ Brown out the door. I don't see the Eagle repeating as East champs.

Green Bay Packers

Everyone loves the Packers, but I'm not totally sold. I have seen Love cave in too many big games to call him a top tier QB. Plus, there was a lot of talent drain out of cheese country.

Cincinnati Bengals
Steady
The Bengals attempted to bolster their defense after the loss of Hendrickson. They brought in a lot of quality players to complement their explosive offense. Lets hope it works because the D was putrid last season. If the Bengals can improve this team has a shot to make some noise.

Detroit Lions
Steady
The Lions went from first to last in the NFC North last season after losing both of their coordinators. Granted they where in a tough division and they had a winning record, but you have to wonder was the past success due to the high quality coordinators rather than Dan Campbell himself. If the Lions struggle this season "The Gambler" might be on the hot seat.

Kansas City Chiefs
Steady
KC has the best QB in the league, but that is about it. They have been bleeding talent for the last few season and its shown in the standings. This offseason was no exception losing both of their outstanding corners. With Mahomes coming back from injury its hard to see this team will be any better than middling.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Steady
Tampa lost a legend in Evans, but most of the cast is returning for the 2026 season. I'm expecting another middle of the road performance in a weak division. They might win the South or maybe not. Tampa huh?

Atlanta Falcons
Steady
Atlanta has so much offensive talent I can see them being a scary team if they can figure out who their QB will be. I would not be surprised if Tua takes the reins and runs away with this team.

Houston Texans

nI'm a Ryans believer. He has the D humming and has made Anderson one of the best pass rushers in the league. However, I have no idea what to think about Stroud. Season 1 he looked like a can't miss generational QB. Then the year 2 regression happened and he has never lived up to his first season hype. You can't say the Texans are not trying bc they have totally revamped their Oline. Will it be enough?

Minnesota Vikings

When a GM drafts a QB as bad as McCarthy he is bound to get fired, and that is what happen in Minn this offseason. They are so desprate at QB that Kyler is looking like a possible savior. I'm not sure how that will turn out, but if Murry can't do it with Jefferson he is done and so are the Vikings.

I'm not sure I believe in Daniel Jones as much as the media does. I've seen other QBs have a great 1/2 season of football only to get injured and never look all that great again. Remember that half season when Carr and Wentz where going to the Hall of Fame? Lets see what happens here. I'm not going to hold my breath.

I feel I should have the G-Men higher, but I can't seem to put them ahead of any team above them. I like their coach, QB, WR, RB, and Dline, so why #21. Frankly, I don't know. Let see how all this plays out.

Speaking of QBs that started hot... what will happen with Daniels. He doesn't have many top tier weapons on offense to work with, and all the offseason moves where kind of meh. This team could end up representing the bottom of the NFC East.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Somehow this team won 13 games last season, but I don't see it again. Maybe "Mr Awkward Duuvall" boy is a really good head coach and he can keep this team going, but they didn't do much in the offseason other than resign some players. The most interesting thing about this team is the O/D split of Travis Hunter.

Why Pittsburgh, why? Why bring back Rogers for another season. Was it really that great last year? Do you like being stuck in forever meritocracy? What is the point? Just stink and draft a QB next season, but noooo. They will be drafting at 20 again.

I think the Saints have some potential. Shough might actually be good. I'm very excited to watch to see what happens there as he throws the ball to two young and dynamic receivers.

Carolina Panthers

Will a splashy defensive signing in Jaelan Phillips be enough to boost the Panthers to the top of the NFC South? Oh wait, the Panthers actually won the South last season. How did that even happen? It was all a crazy blur like my 30th birthday in Vegas. I digress...
I don't have any faith in Bryce Young; just like the Panthers who begrudgingly picked his 5th year option.

Tennessee Titans

Can Salah bring this team out of cellar of the AFC South? If his stint with the Jets says anything that would be a resounding NO. Buuuut, it was the Jets, so I guess Salah gets a pass. I'm moderately interested to see what happens here.

Ahhh the Browns. Always hanging out at the bottom of the power rankings. Even though the Browns traded the best defensive player in the league I like the move. The thing the Browns have is they know they stink and seen to have a plan to build for the future. Time will tell. Here's to the Dawg Pound.

I'm glad for Mendoza the Raiders are saying Cousins will start at the beginning of the season. Let Cousins get smoked as the Raiders try to build something for the future. Well played Raiders. Well played.

I don't understand what the Dolphins are doing. They make a splash and sign the hot young QB, then proceed to purge all the talent on the team. What?? What pay a premium for a QB and give him zero weapons?? I don't get it. This has disaster written all over it.

Nothing says tanking like signing Geno Smith in the offseason. Because it worked out soooo well the first time. I think I'd rather be a backup somewhere than swallow that much pride and start for the Jets... again. Here's to the QB draft next offseason.

When a QB who is a perennial journeyman and backup is holding out on you, you know you got problems. The Cards drafted Jeremiyah Love, but who cares?? A RB by himself cannot carry a team. You don't have to look far to see what happened to the Raiders last season. I'd let Jacobi walk and just roll with whomever. Like the Jets, I'd be looking for next draft to fulfill my QB needs.
